Double Birthday Party+ Easter=One Busy Weekend!

We recently had a great Easter Weekend! I couldn't believe it a few months ago when my mom realized the girls birthday was going to be on Easter day this year. We had so much fun! We had a princess party at a local park. The temperature was perfect, but the wind was a bit frustrating. Bailey had been telling everyone she came in contact with (even the cashier at the grocery store knew) she was going to have a princess birthday. I dressed Bailey up as her beloved Rapunzel and Ella as Snow White. Mom and I stayed up the night before making each princess their own cake. Ella's was purple and Bay's pink. We also made 3 batches of rice krispie treats (with sprinkles on top) and some cupcakes. I was really happy with how the cakes turned out.
The party worked out great. We had princess everything...balloons, tiaras, crowns, necklaces, rings, wands, tablecloths, and more. I had previously stuffed 150 eggs for an egg hunt, the kids made short work of those! The children had a great time on the playground as well. Then it was time for cake! We sang "Happy Birthday" to the girls and everyone had plenty of treats. Ella took her time with her cupcake. She kept sticking her finger in the frosting to take little tastes. I was so happy I thought to bring her high chair, it was the only way I could contain her. Everyone was overly generous with gifts. The girls received all sorts of fun things. (thank you everyone). It was such a fun afternoon! I loved watching all the cute little girls running around in their princess dresses. Both of my little ladies were so tired by the end of the party they could hardly stay awake on the short ride home.
